ENERGY, DECARBONIZATION & DEGROWTH

DEEP DIVE . ONLINE COURSE

COURSE DESCRIPTION

A rapid transition away from fossil fuels is essential. But changing our energy sources without questioning how much energy we use, who has access to it, who controls its production, and what our energy systems are designed to achieve risks reproducing the inequalities and ecological pressures of the current system.

What could energy production and consumption look like in a society that prioritises sufficiency, equity, ecological limits and wellbeing over continuous economic growth?

Energy, Decarbonization & Degrowth is an intensive five-session online course exploring the energy transition through the lens of degrowth — bringing together questions of technology, politics, power, justice and social organisation.
