Short Bio

Sara Fromm holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (Lund University) and is based in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. Sara is working as a manager and trainer for the German organisation “Werkstatt für Gewaltfreie Aktion”, which provides support to individuals and groups in social movements to engage in nonviolent action through trainings, facilitation and consultancies. Within her work, she tries to explore the connections between degrowth and peace for possible synergies with the peace movement. She has been involved in the climate justice movement for several years, mostly in local grassroots groups and national alliances. Since 2018 she is a member of R&D, after researching the potential of a powerful degrowth movement as an agent of change for the social-ecological transformation using the example of Barcelona for her Master thesis
